AUCKLAND REACTOR took the siring honours at Globe Derby Park on Monday (July 19) with a winning double.
His winners were the four-year-old pacer Weeroona Boy and the six-year-old trotter Gotta React.
Weeroona Boy settled down behind the leader, was angled into the ‘death’ at the bell and strolled to the front in the back straight.
The mile rate for the 1800 metres was 1:59.1.
It was his fifth win and his third from eight starts this season.
Bred and raced by Malcolm Meyers, Weeroona Boy is out of the nine-win mare Amberlu Ella (1:57.2), a Badlands Hanover mare.
Starting from a 10 metre handicap, Gotta React gained the box seat trail behind the leader in the early part, peeled three deep on the home turn and exploded into the leader soon after. He won by 6.2 metres.
The winner of four races, Gotta React is from the Live Or Die mare Gotcha NZ (1:59.5) and is her only winner from four foals of racing age.
