Promising AUCKLAND REACTOR three-year-old Hooray Henry made a triumphant return to the racetrack at Cambridge Raceway, New Zealand on Friday night (July 9).
Starting from the back row, the gelding began smartly and slotted into the box seat trail behind the leader.
Taking full advantage of the passing lane, Hooray Henry let down with a brilliant finishing flourish to land the thick end of the prize.
The mile rate for the 2700 metres was 2:01 with the last 800 in a slick 57 seconds.
It was the gelding’s second success from only eight starts.
He is the fourth foal and second winner from the Elsu mare Outback Girl.
AUCKLAND REACTOR has sired 29 individual winners in NZ to date this season and they have won $536,180 in stakes.
