Promising AUCKLAND REACTOR mare Skidaddle made a one-act affair of the seventh race at Addington, New Zealand on Sunday (July 4).
Starting from the back row, the five-year-old began like a bullet to assume control 500 metres after the start. She was never seriously challenged thereafter.
Carving out the last 800 metres in 57.4 seconds, Skidaddle was alone at the end, scoring by 2-1/4 lengths.
The mile rate for the 1980 metres trip was 1:59.7.
The winner of two races, Skidaddle was bred by Alabar (NZ) Ltd and is out of the four-win mare Cabelle (by Art Major).
AUCKLAND REACTOR was also represented by Notaword NZ, a winner in 1:54.2 at Hiawatha Horse Park, Canada.
A five-year-old gelding, Notaword is from the unraced Bettor’s Delight mare Raconteur, the dam of three sub 1:58 winners.
