Crowded Reactor too tough

AUCKLAND REACTOR five-year-old Crowded Reactor overcame a difficult barrier draw and a wide passage to record his eighth win at Globe Derby Park on Monday (June 28).

After settling down second last, the gelding was sent forward three deep at the bell but was spotting the leaders a conservative 30 metres start.

Maintaining his grinding run, Crowded Reactor levelled up with the tearaway leaders on the home turn and surged clear to score by three metres.

The mile rate for the 1800 metres was a smart 1:57.9.

The winner of more than $40,000, Crowded Reactor is from the Armbro Operative mare Threes A Crowd (2:01.2), and is her first foal.
