Talented AUCKLAND REACTOR gelding Harrison streeted his opposition at the Winter meeting at Timaru, New Zealand on Sunday (June 27).
Starting from the pole, the five-year-old pinged straight to the front and led his rivals a merry dance from thereon.
Harrison won by an amazing 10-3/4 lengths under a hold by John Morris.
The mile rate for the 2600 metres was 1:59.6 with the last 800 in 56.7 seconds.
The winner of three races this season, Harrison is out of the Badlands Hanover mare Midland Maddy (2:01.3), the dam of an earlier winner in Carbonado.
Shanks For Coming, a gelding by AUCKLAND REACTOR, produced a carbon copy of the win by Harrison when he emerged successful at Dubbo on the same day.
Leading from the outset, the five-year-old scored in cavalier fashion by an ever-increasing 20 metres.
The mile rate for 2120 metres was 2:00.2.
It was the gelding’s fifth success.
Bred by Kevin and Annette Charles, Shanks For Coming is from the American-bred mare Kiwi Rose (by Western Hanover), who has left three sub 2:00 winners from three starters.
