Talented AUCKLAND REACTOR gelding Brookies Jaffa earned a new speed badge of 1:58.4 over 2200 metres in posting his fourth lifetime win and third for the season at Cambridge Raceway, New Zealand on Friday (June 11).
Starting from the No. 4 gate, the five-year-old rolled to the front soon after the mobile despatch and, despite being tested briefly in the first lap, was never in danger of defeat.
He scored under a hold by 2-1/4 lengths with the last 800 in 58.4 seconds.
Brookies Jaffa has now earned in excess of $36,000.
Bred by Tony Armstrong, the gelding is out of the Artiscape mare Brookmaker, an American-bred mare who has left seven winners including four inside 2:00.
AUCKLAND REACTOR has sired 29 individual winners in NZ this season and they have won almost $500,000 in stakes.
