Talented AUCKLAND REACTOR gelding Red Reactor further underlined his potential when he outfinished a strong field at Menangle on Saturday night (May 22).
Starting from the No 2 gate, the six-year-old chestnut was buried three deep on the marker pegs most of the way.
Gaining racing room soon after straightening, Red Reactor sprouted wings to score by 3.1 metres.
The time for the flying mile was a sharp 1:51.6.
Red Reactor has now won 12 races – including five at Menangle – and $147,743 in stakes.
Bred in New Zealand by Ken and Anne-Marie Spicer, Red Reactor is out of the Live Or Die mare Edernay (2:00), the dam of four sub 2:00 winners.
