The AUCKLAND REACTOR mare Atomic Bombshell divebombed her rivals to notch her fifth success at Albion Park on Tuesday (May 4).
Starting from the pole, the five-year-old settled down behind the leader before being shuffled three back along the marker pegs at the bell.
Gaining racing room near the straight entrance, Atomic Bombshell clicked into top gear as she gobbled up her opposition in the last 50 metres.
The mile rate for the 1660 metres was a career-best 1:55.1.
She clocked 57.5 seconds for the last 800.
Bred by Michael McGeechan, Atomic Bombshell is from the unraced Artsplace mare Art Asset NZ, the dam also of Our Triple Asset (1:59).
AUCKLAND REACTOR has sired 59 individual winners in Australia this year and they have earned more than $720,000 in stakes.
