Smart AUCKLAND REACTOR three-year-old Hooray Henry ended a frustrating run of minor placings when he cleared novice ranks at Cambridge Raceway, New Zealand on Thursday night (April 15).
Having his fourth start, the stylish gelding began smoothly from the outside No 8 gate and settled down third last.
Angled three deep by David Butcher at the 700 metre mark, Hooray Henry looped the field in the space of 300 metres to quickly put the issue beyond doubt.
He won as he liked by 3-3/4 lengths.
The mile rate for the 2200 metres mobile was 1:59.5.
Hooray Henry is from the Elsu mare Outback Girl, the dam of Big Mach 1:53.4 ($123,389).
AUCKLAND REACTOR has sired 28 individual winners in NZ this season and they have earned more than $430,000 in stakes.
