Talented AUCKLAND REACTOR gelding Antero came from absolute last to grab his 13th success at Pinjarra on Monday (March 1).
Set alight three-wide at the bell, the six-year-old looped the entire field in the back straight and then fought off the late challengers.
The mile rate for the 2185 metres was 1:59.1.
The winner of almost $120,000, Antero was bred by the late Harry Capararo out of the Real Desire mare Adda My Way (2:00.6).
Earlier in the day, AUCKLAND REACTOR provided a quinella at Yarra Valley when Would You Mind NZ edged out Lady Lani in a tight photo.
The mile rate for the 1650 metres was a career-best 1:56.4.
The winner of four of his eight starts, Would You Mind is from a mare by Presidential Ball.
The former Kiwi Akarana Prince emerged successful at his first attempt on Australian soil at Globe Derby Park.
Despite sitting parked throughout, the five-year-old showed great heart in the final stages to prevail in a photo, rating 1:59.1 over 1800 metres.
The gelding is out of a Road Machine mare.
