Promising AUCKLAND REACTOR mare Crimson Rain became her sire’s latest winner when she emerged successful at Manawatu Raceway, New Zealand on Tuesday (February 16).
Placed twice previously, the four-year-old enjoyed a perfect trip before peeling three-wide on the home turn.
She quickly pounced on the leaders, then held off late challengers to score by a head.
Crimson Rain is out of the Elsu mare Crimson Glory (2:00.9), and is her first foal. Crimson Glory ranks as a half-sister to the good performers Sudden Change (1:51.4), The Crimson Prince (1:53.5) and Chain Reaction (1:57.1).
AUCKLAND REACTOR has sired 22 individual winners in NZ this season for progeny earnings of $333,096.
