Promising AUCKLAND REACTOR mare Nine Diamonds overpowered her rivals to notch her sixth success at Hobart on Sunday night (February 14).
Starting from the back row, the four-year-old settled down worse than midfield before joining the three-wide train in the back straight.
Switched four deep on the home turn, Nine Diamonds let down with a brilliant finishing flourish to win by 2.2 metres.
The time for the flying mile was 2:01.9.
The winner of more than $40,000, Nine Diamonds is out of the unraced Major Love (by Art Major), whose two foals are both winners.
