The Constitution came from last!

Promising AUCKLAND REACTOR mare The Constitution came from the back of the field to record her second win at Cranbourne on Sunday night (January 24).

Set alight three-wide in the back straight, the chestnut mare quickly pounced on the leaders and then held off all challengers to win by two metres.

The time for the flying mile was 1:59.1 – a new lifetime mark.

She tramped the last 800 in 58.3 in the middle of the track.

Bred by Alabar Bloodstock, The Constitution is out of the Elsu mare Placid Castle, the dam also of Error (1:55.5), won has won six races to date.
