Unbeaten four-year-old

Would You Mind NZ, a four-year-old gelding by AUCKLAND REACTOR, made it two for two when he captured a heat of the Provincial Pace at Maryborough on Monday (January 4).

Starting from the No 6 gate, the gelding pinged straight to the front before handing up in the middle stages.

Taking full advantage of a narrow opening, Would You Mind sprinted sharply to gain the thick end of the prize.

The mile rate was 2:00 for 2190 metres.

He is out of Monica’s Revenge, a winning Presidential Ball mare.

On the same day, Harrison, a five-year-old son of AUCKLAND REACTOR, posted is second success at the Roxburgh Cup meeting in New Zealand.

After settling worse than midfield, the gelding joined the three-wide train at the bell before being before obliged to race in the open in the back straight. He knuckled down to the task in resolute fashion to win by 2-1/4 lengths.

The mile rate was 1:59.8 for 2180 metres.

Harrison is from the Badlands Hanover mare Midland Maddy (2:01.3), and is her fourth foal and second winner.
