Promising AUCKLAND REACTOR five-year-old The Banker outsprinted his rivals to notch his third win at the Christmas Eve meeting at Cambridge Raceway, New Zealand.
AUCKLAND REACTOR was also represented by the impressive Gloucester Park winner Yes He’s A Ladies Man NZ and the ‘new’ three-year-old winner Little Auckland (Redcliffe) on the same day.
The Banker took full advantage of a cosy trail to win by a length under a hold, rating a career-best 1:57.9 over 2200 metres with the last 800 in 59.1 and 400 in 28.7.
The gelding is the fourth foal and only winner of the unraced Christian Cullen mare, Mikana.
Yes He’s A Ladies Man, a five-year-old gelding, was untroubled to lead throughout, carving out the last 800 in 56.4.
The gelding has won five of his seven appearances in Western Australia.
From a New York Motoring mare, He’s A Ladies Man has now won eight races and more than $65,000 in stakes.
Meanwhile, Little Auckland, from a mare by Artiscape, became AUCKLAND REACTOR’s 106th individual winner in Australia for the season and his 27th three-year-old winner when she sprinted sharply along the passing lane.
AUCKLAND REACTOR has sired the winners of just shy of $2 million stakemoney in Australia to date in 2019/20.
