AUCKLAND REACTOR sired very impressive winners on both sides of the Tasman on Thursday (December 3).
The Banker, a five-year-old gelding, scored at Cambridge Raceway, New Zealand, while the three-year-old filly Balayage won at Redcliffe, Queensland.
Both recorded their second successes.
The Banker, who made a smooth getaway, copped a severe check early before rolling to the front at the 1400 metre mark. He was never again headed.
The gelding, who is out of a Christian Cullen mare, won easing up by 1-1/4 lengths.
The mile rate was 2:00.2 for 2200 metres.
Balayage, from the No 2 gate, led early before being headed off at the bell and then finished over the top of her rivals.
She rated a career-best 1:59.5 for 1780 metres.
The filly is out of an unraced In The Pocket mare, Little Miss Pocket, and is her third foal and first winner.
