Two-year-old winner on debut

Straylya, a two-year-old gelding by AUCKLAND REACTOR, was a most impressive winner on debut at Wagin (WA) on Friday night (November 20).

The gelding, who started from the No 4 gate, settled down last of the main body of the field before being sent forward three deep at the 1200 metre mark to face the breeze.

Despite the somewhat torrid passage, Straylya surged to the front in the home straight to win by 2.3 metres.

He became the 101st winner sired by AUCKLAND REACTOR in Australia this season.

Bred and raced by J. D. and K. Bickers, Straylya is the tenth foal and fourth winner of the unraced Jantenara (by Lucky Cam).
