Smart AUCKLAND REACTOR four-year-old The Great Buzz NZ posted his 14th lifetime win and boosted his stake tally to $US90,000 when he emerged successful at Dayton Raceway, Ohio on Saturday (November 7).
The gelding led from go to whoa in 1:52.6 highlighted by a 56.2 closing half.
He is out of the unraced Bettor’s Delight mare Risonanza, the dam of an earlier winner in Resounding (2:00.1), who won nine races.
The following day Tiger Moth, a six-year-old gelding, came from last to win his second race at Invercargill, NZ.
Looping the field in the middle stages to sit parked, the gelding dug deep into his reserves of stamina to prevail by half a length with a final 800 in 57.9.
Tiger Moth is from the winning mare Gipsy Moth (by Christian Cullen) and is her second foal and second winner.
