Plutonium ignites Globe Derby Park

Plutonium, a New Zealand bred son of AUCKLAND REACTOR, made it two from two on Australian soil when he outstayed his rivals at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night (October 10).

After being trapped three-wide in the early part, the four-year-old moved forward to face the breeze. He was untroubled to win by 6.4 metres.

The mile rate was 1:56.7 for 1800 metres – the last 800 in 58.

The winner of three races, Plutonium is out of a mare by Iraklis.

Auckland Red, a four-year-old gelding maintained his excellent form when he overcame a torrid passage to win at Geelong on Friday (October 9).

He clocked 1:56.3 for the flying mile.

Auckland Red, from a mare by Live Or Die, has won five of his eight starts this season.

The Great Buzz NZ¸ a five-year-old by AUCKLAND REACTOR, earned a new speed badge of 1:51.8 when he led from end to end at Dayton Raceway, Ohio. From a Bettor’s Delight mare, the gelding has banked $US84,949.
